Life Line Screening, Larry King Cardiac Foundation Collaboration to Help Residents of Tennessee

January 31, 2011

According to a press release, the Larry King Cardiac Foundation (LKCF) will sponsor at-risk, low-cost cholesterol and diabetes blood screenings through collaboration with Life Line Screening. This will begin on February 1, 2011.

This is an exciting partnership for both the LKCF, whose mission is “save a heart a day,” and Life Line Screening, whose mission is “the power of prevention.” It is the hope of these organizations that the efforts will raise awareness of heart disease and diabetes, spread the word that these simple screenings can determine your risk for such diseases before they become a problem, and ultimately help save lives.

A statement by Colin Scully, CEO, Life Line Screening, quoted in the press release, sums up the feelings of both health advocate organizations: “The Larry King Cardiac Foundation has a mission of saving a heart a day. By helping bring these screenings to the residents of Tennessee, they are doing more than that. They are helping prevent heart problems from developing in the first place. We are very pleased to have such a valuable partner and to support the Foundation.”

Read the entire press release at: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2011/01/prweb5008134.htm

The first screening event will take place in Sweetwater, TN at the First United Methodist Church. There will be more than 200 screening events across the state in 2011.
