In a new video on lifelinescreening.com, Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House and the Founder of the Center for Health Transformation speaks about why he believes in a consumer focused approach to health care and why he supports the work of Life Line Screening.
Citing the need for a patient-focused approach that uses advanced technology and can be delivered at low-cost, Mr. Gingrich explains that “Life Line Screening is a good example of the kind of effort… that gives you the lowest possible cost so that you know whether or not you have a health problem.”
Mr. Gingrich summarizes by saying, “You know, screening sometimes seems like it is a waste of time, until you find that problem, and suddenly your life is dramatically better because you got the right help at the right time to prevent it from getting a lot worse. And that is where Life Line Screening comes in.”
Thank you, Mr. Gingrich, for your supportive words and your steadfast belief that new, innovative models of health care will help improve health care outcomes and cut costs.
